About Principal for a Day

Principal for a Day originated in New York and COMET brought it to New Zealand in 2002. Since then, over 450 New Zealand business and community leaders have taken part in this unique experience.

This event facilitates open, transparent one-on-one discussions between school leaders and their business counterparts, enabling each party to better understand and appreciate the other.

There is a multitude of ways in which businesses and schools can benefit and help one another. Principal for a Day provides an opportunity to discover them. 

Previous participants have come from a diverse range of occupations including CEOs and senior executives from a variety of industries including banking, construction, media, law, art, local government, telecommunications etc. plus the occasional sporting hero!
